JetBlue Third Quarter 2018 Results

JetBlue earned $50 million in after tax income in the third quarter of 2018, a 72 percent drop from the same period in 2017. The carrier flew 11.05 million passengers in the quarter, an eight percent year-on-year (yoy) increase. System-wide load factor was 85.9 percent, with an average stage length of 1,093 miles. JetBlue aircraft were in the air, on average, 12 hours every day. JetBlue’s fuel costs increased 36.6 percent from one year ago to $2.32 per gallon.
