ATA DC-10s

Does anyone have any idea why ATA repainted the old livery Northwest DC-10s with white on the top, rather than the red? If they were going to do the repaint on that section, why not match it in with the grey on the sides of the fuselage? The white tops may look worse than the red!

Haha, that's the same question everyone is asking! My suggestion was the same as yours, match the grey so they don't look "bald". Light grey must have been cheaper. :roll: At least Freedom Bird (my avatar) is still beautiful in the new NW hybrid scheme. I wonder what the two they have in storage look like.
