American to add daily seasonal service to Dublin, Munich

American Airlines will add daily seasonal service in 2019 from DFW to Dublin, Ireland (DUB) and Munich, Germany (MUC). Both routes will start on June 6. Dublin will operate on a Boeing 787-9 through September 28, while Munich will be flown by a 787-8 and operate until October 26.

Schedules:
Dallas/Ft. Worth – Dublin // June 6-September 28, 2019, Daily
AA132 DFW2035 – 1140+1DUB 789 D
AA133 DUB1340 – 1745DFW 789 D

Dallas/Ft. Worth – Munich // June 6-October 26, 2019, Daily
AA024 DFW1510 – 0810+1MUC 788 D
AA025 MUC1055 – 1500DFW 788 D

Interesting, DUB, gotta wonder if this is an attempt on AA's part to keep Aer Lingus at bay.

Maybe, but probably not? After all, "Aer Lingus now codeshares on British Airways services to and from London and beyond." And of course AA/BA have the Joint Venture on Trans-Atlantic. But, stranger things have happened. Certainly AA has more metal than Aer Lingus!

The same release identified some seasonal flights that will not be back in 2019, and they didn't mention any DFW routes. Means that Amsterdam, Rome, and Reykjavik are back as of now.

Wonder if we will see either of WOW or Icelandair next summer.
