DFW Foreign Carrier Estimated February 2019 Loads

Postby Greg on Fri Apr 12, 2019 12:07 pm

Here are the estimated load factors for the foreign carriers at DFW for February 2019. For the low season, nothing too bad here. Air Canada impressive at 86%, British and Lufthansa in the 80s, and Japan Airlines strong again at 91%.

EDIT: So I made a mistake in doing the Qantas counts with 28 flights rather than 24 - they don't have Tuesday flights anymore. The QF numbers should read: 67.22% arriving, 92.32% departing, and 77.84% overall.

11,616 arriving seats / 8,520 departing seats / 20,136 total seats.

How did we arrive at the data?
I took publicly available seat counts and other published data showing available data and came up with these estimates. I do not guarantee 100% accuracy, but I think we are fairly close to the true numbers. OAG, Various Source websites, airline sites etc.

Assumptions:
AeroMexico - 56 flights with 99 seats
Air Canada - 133 flights with 76 seats
Avianca - 27 flights with 96 seats
British Airways – 23 flights with 226 seats, one flight with 219 seats
Emirates - 28 flights with 354 seats
Interjet - 40 flights with 150 seats
Japan Airlines - 28 flights with 195 seats
Korean - 16 flights with 291 seats
Lufthansa - 13 flights with 255 seats, nine flights with 279 seats
Qantas – 28 flights with 484 seats inbound and 355 seats outbound (lower outbound estimate for blocked seats)
Qatar – 20 flights with 358 seats, nine flights with 354 seats
Volaris - 12 flights with 179 seats
