Will they return and when?

Postby panamboy70 on Sun Mar 22, 2020 6:47 pm

DFW's portfolio, of international carriers, seems to be shrinking on a daily basis, many of these airlines took decades to land. So, once the world recovers and planes full of passengers are filling the skies, I have to wonder where DFW will stand on getting the likes of BA, QF, AF, and others to restart our fair city? No doubt the usual suspects, JFK, LAX, SFO, MIA, and ORD will be the first cities to see the resumption of services, but mid-sized markets like DFW, IAH, and ATL will probably have to wait. I guess it will come down to just how much these carriers have left in their coffers. Most of the international operators had decent loads, though KE might be on the ropes. Delta has already signaled that they are planning to reduce their operating size, AA and UA might go down the same path.
