Re: American defers A350 deliveries by a year

So two years actually? Ugh, thanks cheap fuel prices. I wonder if they will keep some older birds longer than expected, or just stem growth.

BA - Slight possibility. They just don't have enough whales to go around.
KE, QR - Nope, see above, but without the "slight possibility".
EK - I'll assume you meant EY, and not a chance.

Re: Interjet seeks Cancun to DFW

Hmm, it doesn't say what equipment they plan on using. We could get more Superjets or a new A320 frequency.

I haven't tried Sun Country yet, but it would seem Interjet would go to the top of the list for that route (at least in Y class). Doesn't AeroMexico also fly that route some times?

Re: Korean air

DFW is not the only market they serve. They have a large and diverse fleet that has to be scheduled to all points of the route-map and get maintenance at regular intervals in between. Like Greg said about the cargo, there are plenty of factors (hundreds actually) that fleet & route planners have...

Re: Dallas Morning News ends Aviation Biz Blog

Not surprised to see this coming. After Terry (who's blogging I have mixed feelings about, but mostly favorable), there was literally no one left at that paper with any Av sense, and the blog withered from day one. At least Terry was an journalist of the old guard and knew plenty about the industry....

TNT already serving DFW?

To my great surprise this morning, while driving down Hwy 121, I saw a TNT 77F fly over at close range, landing on the 17s. It comes from Liege via Atlanta. According to Flightaware this isn't a one-off: http://flightaware.com/live/flight/TAY1412/history/20160429/1350Z/KATL/KDFW Outbound heads back ...

I hope this means they are doing well here, and won't pull a Viva Aerobus. Nice to have a trio of Mexican operators around.

Sounds so trivial, but I love it. Down with Pepsi! If only Coke would use their Mello Yello brand more I wouldn't be mourning the loss of Mtn. Dew availability.

Re: Interjet applies for DFW-Mexico City

NICE! I wonder if this had anything to do with the new AA codeshare? I also hear there is interest in 4O joining OneWorld at some point, which would fill in a lot of the Mexico part of the map nicely. Multiple daily frequencies with a RON make this the best schedule any of the Mexican carriers have ...
