QF7D - Delayed A380
QF7D - Delayed A380
Here is the 2nd Qantas A380 on Saturday 10/4/2014, flight QF7D, the one that had to return to Sydney yesterday due to fuel pump issues. About 45 minutes after the first QF7. Picture taken over Lantana, TX, as it was lining up from the north to land on 18R. Wonder what the airport looks like with 2 of these on the tarmac and at the gate at the same time.

Looks like Nancy Bird again. I wonder if the schedule they are using now will have the effect of sending us the same frames repeatedly.

Re: QF7D - Delayed A380
I was at Founder's Plaza on Saturday to watch this bird land and there was a HUGE crowd out there waiting for it. All parking spots were taken and vehicles were parallel-parked all around the round-about/plaza (where the construction is currently taking place). It took me about 3 tries to finally find somewhere to park (which i had to parallel park)!
It was refreshing to see such a huge crowd all with their tablets and phones out tracking the plane on flight aware. Once the plane was visible on the downwind leg of the approach to 18R everyone turned around and fixated on the plane. Then when the plane was on short final a group of probably 20+ people ran across the field to get as close to the to the glide path as allowed

Let's hope not... remember the BA 772s to London Gatwick? G-VIIA-G or so were the typical frames.ZuluLima wrote:Looks like Nancy Bird again. I wonder if the schedule they are using now will have the effect of sending us the same frames repeatedly.
I also find it good to see Founder packed. Obviously it makes it harder to park, but just for a few minutes. I like seeing the crowd out there, getting into it.
