That article made me ponder if we might be getting a 748i (maybe LH or KE with further reduction in service) instead of a 388.

I seriously think BA. And eventually QANTAS. BA because they only need one aircraft to operate a LHR-DFW route vs EK will require 2 a380s. And They will soon be competing with a middle eastern Oneworld carrier in a Oneworld hub. If anything I think in the near future we will see a Qatar a380 here. Anyways we will see. I can't wait to see which one. I hope we get 2 airlines to confirm. We'll beat IAH in a second a380

That would be nice, but LH hasn't scheduled a 747 to DFW in quite a long time - decades! I believe you'd have to go back to the 1980s if I'm not mistaken. BTW, glad to see you posting - welcome to the site!

I should post a poll in which we can all vote, would be interesting. I think good arguments can be made for BA or EK, however I still lean EK based on their fleet size (45 A380s) and number of good sources I've heard pointing to EK as the one for 380s. Either way, whoever brings it in, will be a great addition to DFW. It is certainly a hot topic of late.

It would be great if we are all correct: Emirates and British in October. And QANTAS in 2015.
