For the fourth straight year, Airbus was the world's largest manufacturer of commercial aircraft, with the European builder delivering 661 aircraft in 2022. Airbus's backlog now stands at 7,235 aircraft.
Boeing finished 2022 with 480 commercial aircraft deliveries, with the manufacturer announcing its starts 2023 with a backlog of 4,578 aircraft. Over 3,600 of these frames to be built are 737 MAX aircraft.
