I wanted to provide a quick update on the site - for the past several months DFWTower.com has been plagued by slow feeds and Chinese spammers. These issues have been addressed and fixed.
As of today, all users and IP addresses from China are banned from accessing DFW Tower. The amount of spam accounts being set up, which had to be deleted nearly daily, was overwhelming and made this action necessary.
Additionally, bugs that were causing log in problems and giant text have been fixed. DFW Tower uses many feeds from both the FAA and National Weather Service. Slow response times and glitches in these feeds were wreaking havoc on the site, and have now been fixed.
I'll be keeping a close eye to make sure these problems don't reappear and to keep the site up and running. We'll also be adding a Twitter feed very soon as well. As always, thank you for your patience.
