Rumors are circulating, with no confirmation, that Southwest Airlines will be forced to scrap N8327A, an aircraft which suffered a tail strike upon landing at Las Vegas on January 3. Apparently the bulkhead sustained damage and the aircraft is worth more in parts than repairs. However, others say it will be repaired. Has anyone else heard for sure?
The frame was delivered new on December 12, 2012.
