There's no section for Carswell Field here, so I figure AFW is as good as any given the military transient traffic I've seen at AFW, but does anyone know of any good spots at Carswell? With the F-35 flight test program ramping up, I'd like to try and catch some F-35s, but I'd really like to catch the CATBird JSF systems test bed 737-300 some day as well!

Damn right; that thing is incredibly ugly/beautiful. There seems to be a place or two to the north, either on or aound the lake, that people have used. When I got the shuttle & SCA there I parked in a field on the southwest corner. I'm not sure if the police would like that most of the time, but they probably won't do more than just tell you to leave. Look for a vehicle track going off the road through the fence. From there you can drive north/south quite a ways and get good shots.
